Stage 1: From Danta to Sappada

From Danta you descend towards Santo Stefano following the road to the Piave, which you skirt to Campolongo. From here you take the CAI 313 mule track towards the Digola Pass — the most challenging stretch of the stage, with a good difference in height and open panorama. You pass the Tabià del Roncolo and Digola, reach the Casera Tiimer and descend towards the hamlet of Lerpa. The arrival is at the parish church of Santa Margherita in Sappada, after 6-7 hours of walking.
