The Frassati Path

The Frassati Trail takes its name from Pier Giorgio Frassati (1901–1925), a young man from Turin, a member of the Italian Alpine Club and beatified in 1990. He loved the mountains and considered them a gym for the spirit, as well as for the body. Throughout Italy, paths or peaks have been named after him to remember his invitation to “live and not get by”.
In Comelico, the path that bears his name crosses environments of great naturalistic, historical and religious value: it is not a purely sporting route, but an itinerary that invites you to walk with attention to the landscape and its meaning. The six stages, with views of the Dolomites and passages through villages and places of cultural interest, are a unique experience for those who want to “experience that joy that only in the mountains you have”.
